Oakmont Senior Living operates senior living communities offering assisted living and memory care, and their website had to serve a uniquely demanding visitor: adult children researching care options for parents, often during a high-stress decision moment. The site needed to help families quickly compare options, find a community, and book a tour, while also supporting recruiting at the property level. The redesign had to balance emotional sensitivity with operational clarity.
Organized Around Real Intent
We rebuilt the site around the actual decisions families need to make: Find a community, Compare care, Book a tour, Careers. The information architecture follows how visitors actually move through the consideration process rather than how Oakmont organizes their internal teams.
Reusable Community Templates
Each Oakmont community has a consistent template structure with photography, amenities, care levels, events, and team. Visitors who view multiple communities don't have to relearn each page's logic, which speeds the comparison process and reduces friction at a decision moment that already carries enough weight.
Booking Always Visible
Booking access stays visible across the entire site so families can move from research to action at any point. We resisted hiding the booking action inside multi-step flows, which is the default pattern for senior living sites but conflicts with how high-stakes decisions actually get made.
